Is it still possible to marry in Denmark?
Since the 01.01.2019 there is a new marriage law in Denmark. Many couples have read on the internet that they can no longer marry in Denmark. To get rid of the rumor, we can tell you that this is NOT true.
The new law was introduced to curb fictitious marriages, not to stop all marriages. A new marriage law was necessary for Denmark because unfortunately there were agencies and couples who took advantage of the simplified marriage law for marriages of convenience.
